Rapat Pittayanon is an associate professor of medicine at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. She graduated from Chulalongkorn University, Faculty of Medicine and studied Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. She also received a Master of Science degree from Chulalongkorn University and McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. 


She had been a fellow in systematic review, guideline development, and upper gastrointestinal tract microbiome at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Her fields of interest are focusing on upper GI disease, e.g. gastric and esophageal cancer, upper GI bleeding, image-enhanced endoscopy (IEE), peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM), endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), and also guideline development. She now has 63 international publications and an H-index of 23 (Google Scholar).
