Dr. Eric Yasay is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine and a consultant gastroenterologist at the Philippine General Hospital, where he performs both basic and advanced endoscopy. He is the training officer for the basic gastroenterology program at the hospital. He currently serves as the treasurer of the Philippine Society of Digestive Endoscopy and has led its committee for Basic and Advanced Endoscopy Training.
An advocate of evidence-based medicine, Dr. Yasay has also lectured and conducted workshops for the Asia-Pacific Center for Evidence-based Healthcare and is an Associate Editor for the Philippine Journal of Gastroenterology. As a member of the Academy of Endoscopy, he emphasizes simulation-based learning and deliberate practice in endoscopy for his trainees.
