Dr. Enrik Aguila is a consultant gastroenterologist and advanced endoscopist at the St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC) Global City and Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center. He finished his gastroenterology fellowship training at the SLMC Global City in 2020. In 2022, he underwent advanced endoscopy training in Lyell McEwin and Modbury Hospitals, Adelaide, Australia, under Prof. Rajvinder Singh with the support of the Asian Pacific Association of Gastroenterology (APAGE) Clinician-Scientist Training scholarship. Currently, he is a member of the Emerging Leaders Committee of the APAGE, an Associate Editor of the Philippine Journal of Gastroenterology, and a Deputy Social Media Editor of the Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.


He also takes part in different committees and projects in his local gastroenterology and endoscopy societies. Recently, he became a member/faculty of the Academy of Endoscopy (AOE) and the Asian Novel Bio-Imaging and Intervention Group (ANBIIG), both aimed at educating gastroenterologists on enhancing endoscopy practice to improve patient care. He is also a teaching faculty at the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health.
